This gorgeous beechwood cutting board features a simple sunflower head that has been wood burned by hand. Whether it is being used for its intended purpose or being proudly displayed as decor, this beechwood cutting board would make a wonderful addition to your kitchen!
One of the greatest things about this cutting board is that beechwood becomes darker with age, so although it starts out a lighter shade (as seen in the photos), it will deepen as it ages to a nice deep red.
Beechwood is the ideal type of wood for cutting boards for many reasons. It is a food-safe wood, which makes it ideal for kitchen use. It has a tight grain, which means it won’t absorb water which causes warping. The wood is hard enough to prevent dents and scratches from knives, yet not so hard that it will damage your knife!
The paddle cutting board measures approximately 14 inches in length (including the handle), by 7 inches in width, and is ¾ inch thick.
This beautiful cutting board comes fully conditioned with linseed oil and is ready for use. To keep your cutting board in good working order, it is ideal to re-condition it once every 3-6 months with a food safe oil. Wash in warm water with a mild detergent to keep the wood protected.
